Pay Dirt

FAQ

Is it free to play?

There is no entry fee. If a token holding is required, that is shown on the How it works page. You keep your tokens; they are only checked, never taken.

Is it safe to connect or paste my wallet?

The game only needs your public address. It will never ask for your seed phrase or private key, and nobody running it will either. If anything asks for them, it is not this game. Connecting Phantom asks you to approve a connection and, optionally, to sign a plain message that proves you own the address. It cannot move your funds.

Can I just watch without a wallet?

Yes. Press "Just watch, no wallet needed" on the entry card and the mine is yours to look at: rotate, zoom and switch levels. Nothing is asked of you and no address is shared. A "Join the mine" button stays in the corner if you change your mind. Watching does not take a place in the mine.

Can I control my miner?

No. Miners dig on their own. What you decide is which wallet is in the mine and when to leave. You can change the camera and the level you are watching.

My miner found a reward but I was not paid. Why?

Common reasons: your balance fell below the minimum holding, your wallet hit its daily limit, payouts are paused, the hourly payout limit was reached, or the payment itself failed. In those cases the reward goes back into hiding on the same level, so someone can find it later. The activity log in the mine shows a message when this happens.

What is Mine 2?

An overflow mine. It is closed by default. When the admin opens it, people who would otherwise wait in line are placed in Mine 2 once Mine 1 is full. You cannot pick your mine. Both mines pay from the same reward pool, and opening Mine 2 moves about half of the hidden rewards into it. Mine 1 is always open, and anyone can switch the view between open mines to watch.

Why am I waiting in line?

The mine fits a limited number of miners. Anyone who leaves goes to the back of the line. If a token is required, holding more gives you a better place. When shifts are on, the longest-running miners step out so others can take a turn.

Why was I removed from the mine?

Usually because your balance dropped below the minimum, your shift ended, your connection dropped for a while, or the admin removed the wallet. The message shown on the page says which.

Can I use more than one wallet?

Each wallet can only be in the mine once, and each internet connection can run a limited number of miners. After leaving, a connection has to wait a few minutes before mining with a different wallet. The exact limits are on the rules page.

Can the rewards run out?

Yes. The pool is a fixed amount. When every reward is found, the game waits for more funds to arrive. When a season ends, whatever is left goes back to the pool owner.

Are payments final?

Yes. They are normal on-chain transfers and cannot be reversed. Check your address before you enter it.

Is this a real-money game?

Only when the page says mainnet. In test mode (devnet) the rewards have no value at all. Nothing here is financial advice, and you should only play with amounts you are fine losing. Make sure the game is lawful where you live.
